Navigating MDT reviews

View, manage, and record MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) reviews in Observation Management. You can search for patients, check upcoming reviews, and record outcomes directly from this section.

Access MDT reviews

  1. From the main navigation menu, click MDT Reviews.

  2. The page opens on the Patient Overview tab.


Patient Overview tab

The Patient Overview tab shows a real-time summary of your patients’ observation statuses and monitoring frequencies.

Search and filter patients

  • Search using:

    • First name

    • Family name

    • NHS number

  • Filter results by ward.

  • Sort columns by selecting any column header with an arrow.

View patient list

  • If more than 10 patients are listed, the results are split across pages.

  • Use the pagination controls to move between pages.

Use the Actions menu

  1. In the Actions column, click the three dot menu next to a patient.

  2. Choose one of the following:

    • Review history – Opens a panel showing previous MDT reviews.

    • Schedule review – Starts the booking process.

    • Record review – Records a review outcome immediately.


Upcoming Reviews tab

The Upcoming Reviews tab shows all scheduled MDT reviews in chronological order.

  • The nearest reviews appear first.

  • Overdue reviews are highlighted at the top of the list.

Search and filter

  • Search by patient name or NHS number.

  • Filter by a date range.

πŸ“Œ Note: You cannot record a review outcome until the scheduled date has been reached.


All Reviews tab

The All Reviews tab lets you view all MDT reviews, regardless of status.

Search and filter

  • Search by patient name or NHS number.

  • Filter by:

    • Review status

    • Date range

Available actions by status

  • Scheduled (not due):

    • Edit the review

  • Scheduled (due or overdue):

    • Edit the review

    • Record the outcome

  • Completed or cancelled:

    • View the review details
