How offline mode works

  • A persistent banner appears at the top of the screen when the app is running in offline mode.

  • This banner shows:

    • Offline status

    • The last successful sync time with Rio EPR.

  • Tap the banner to view a pop-up with more details about offline functionality.

What you can do offline

View patient and observation data for any inpatients on wards selected during the last successful sync with Rio.

⚠️Important: Be aware that any data viewed whilst offline may not reflect the latest changes.

Recording Observations offline

Observations recorded offline are:

  • Saved locally to the device's secure storage.

  • Displayed as a pending sync count on the home screen.

Syncing after reconnection

When internet connection is restored:

  • The app automatically trigger a data sync.

  • A confirmation banner will appear once the latest data has successfully synced.
