What you will see on the dashboard

When you open the dashboard, you will see an overview of all the wards you have access to. The information is grouped into key sections to help you quickly understand performance and identify any issues.

Key performance indicators (KPIs)

At the top of the dashboard, you’ll find the main observation KPIs. These highlight important areas that may require action:

  • Overdue observations – Observations that have passed their scheduled time.

  • Missed observations – Includes missed therapeutic intermittent observations.

  • MDT reviews due – Multi-disciplinary team reviews that need to be completed.

Selecting any KPI tile takes you directly to a more detailed view, where you can investigate further.

At a glance statistics

Below the KPIs, at a glance section provides a quick summary of activity across the wards currently displayed.

This includes:

  • Admissions

  • Discharges

  • High NEWS scores

  • Observations due

  • Total observations

  • Total wards

You can refine the wards shown using the data filter in the top left corner of the screen.

Graphs and tables

To support deeper monitoring, the dashboard includes a range of visual insights. These help you track trends and understand activity over time.

Available views include:

  • Observations by ward (last 24 hours)

  • Observations by level and ward (last hour)

  • Missed observation trends.

  • Current observation levels by assigned ward.

  • Current day admissions and discharges by ward.

Each graph includes a key icon in the top right corner. Select this to view additional details about the data shown.
